Three experienced skydivers have died after colliding mid-air in two separate accidents. Both accidents occurred in Perris, California, both involved two adult males, all four men were experienced skydivers.
The first incident occurred on March 31st. The victims dropped at least 200 feet after colliding in the air. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The second incident occurred on April 16th on the eve of a memorial jump for the first two victims and involved two Canadian men. They were part of a large group that included paramedics and received medical attention immediately. One man died at the hospital.
According to Dropzone, a skydiving safety website, there were 22 skydiving fatalities in 2010.
