UCLA Professor Arraigned in Employees Death

Patrick Harran, the UCLA chemistry professor charged with criminal negligence, was  arraigned and pled not guilty to felony charges resulting from a lab fire that resulted in the death of Sheri Sangji, a 28-year-old research assistant employed by UCLA. Charges against the Board of Regents were dropped after they reached a settlement with the state. For more details, please see our complete coverage.
